About Us

Located in the heart of Southeast Kansas, Schenker Family Farms is owned by Kevin and Cherie Schenker. Together with their children, they carry on the family farm started at the turn of the 20th century by Cherie's great-grandfather.

Our Commitment to the Land & Our Animals

Kevin & Cherie Schenker are committed to being good stewards of the land and the bounty it provides. All animals are allowed to graze freely on several hundred acres of prairie and other specialty grasses. In the winter, the animals are fed hay made from native grasses. They have access to mineral supplements and fresh, clean water year-round to maintain good health.

The Schenkers believe that it is their duty to provide a stress-free, humane, environment for the animals they raise. 

Our Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown farm. This means that we DO NOT use chemical pesticides or herbicides. In addition, routine use of antibiotics, steroids and growth hormones is prohibited.
